Mount Ishimaki is a massif mainly composed of phyllite ("Senmaigan" in Japanese) that prominently rises to the northeast of Toyohashi-City at a height of 358 meters, being the city's highest point. Featuring a trail path that leads to its peak, from there it's possible to observe the city on one side and on the other, the vast mountainous land of Okumikawa. Also, with clear enough skies, even Mt. Fuji, distant 132km to the northeast in Shizuoka Prefecture can be spotted pointing high amidst the Okumikawa ranges.
