View Mikawa fireworks and their traditional techniques from where they originated

Okazaki's fireworks have their roots in the festival for Sugo Jinja Shrine, and became widely known as a fireworks festival from the Edo period due to the rich atmosphere created by the boats from which they were launched. Nowadays, these fireworks coincide with the Okazaki Castle Ieyasu Summer Festival and sum up the most exciting aspects of Mikawa fireworks—so named for Okazaki's location in the Mikawa region—resulting in their status as a nationally recognized fireworks display. Systematic and simultaneous fireworks, fireworks which swim along the water like goldfish, and an incredible variety of other fireworks come together during this spectacular display.
