A City Park with Abundant Nature

Odai Park is a city park that makes the most of nature, created from a total area of 12.1 hectares. The verdant park is beloved by the city residents as a place where you can see lots of flowers, wild birds, and insects. Enjoy the change from season to season with a medicinal tree and herb garden featuring around 100 varieties of medicinal trees and around 60 varieties of herbs, Onibasu Lake where endangered species onibasu, or prickly water lilies (Euryale ferox), are cultivated, weeping plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, Japanese irises, and other flowers. The mallet golf course, the barbecue area, and the fun bicycle plaza for kids are also popular.
