Gigantic, 8-meter-tall floats on display

Donden-kan Palace allows you to witness at any time the incredible yama parade floats which proceed through Inuyama's streets during the Inuyama Festival, held annually on the first weekend of April. These floats are built using only the finest craftsmanship with a beautiful lacquer and gold leaf finish.
Get a feel for the festival's atmosphere without actually taking part through a demonstration of Inuyama Festival's goings-on in a condensed 6-minute show and gaze upon the golden robes worn by children during the festival also on display.
The building itself blends in with the surrounding castle town with its narrow construction, making it the perfect spot to learn about this locally renowned festival.
