Momotaro is a traditional fairy tale about a peach discovered by an old, childless couple, which inside, contains a young baby. The young boy grows into a strong young man who defeats evil demons in an epic known by all Japanese children.
Momotaro Jinja Shrine has a relation to the fairy tale and is decorated with peaches and other story-related objects—a rarity in Japan. During the Setsubun Festival, it accepts prayers for the healthy upbringing of children.

From Meitetsu Inuyama Yuen Station on the Meitetsu Inuyama Line (board from either Meitetsu Nagoya Station or from Inuyama Station), take a taxi or walk 35 min. (2.6 km) northeast via Route 185.
Access by car

• Approx. 20 min. northwest from Komaki-Higashi Interchange on the Chuo Expressway via Routes 49, 461, and 185.
• Approx. 35 min. north from either Komaki-Kita Exit on the Nagoya Expressway R11 Komaki Route, or Komaki Interchange on the Meishin Expressway/Tomei Expressway via Routes 41, 27, and 185.
