Mixing man-made and naturally occurring ice objects, this winter-only ice cascade is a wonderful sight when the weather is favorable for its formation. And during an even more limited period, when the frozen forms are deemed beautiful enough, the townsfolk set up a nightly illumination making for a fantastic experience. The same people keep working for days to make sure it is in acceptable shape during its season.

    Access by car
    From Nagoya to the Oidaira Park: Approx. 1h30min (57km) - From the Tomei Expressway, head south to the nearby Nisshin Junction (日進JCT - east of Nagoya I.C.) then change to the Nagoya-Seto Road, then to the Sanage Green Road (changes naturally). Exit at Chikaraishi I.C. (力石) turning left. Head east by Route 153 until the crossing with Route 257 at Inabu-cho (稲武町), turning right to head south for 600m. After parking the car at Oidaira Park, walk southwestwards to the back of the parking lot and use the bridge to get to the other side of the river. Then turn left and follow the road east, then southeastwards for 600m.
