The Ancient Place Known as "Temple of Maple Leaves in Owari"

The Jakkoin Autumn Leaves Festival celebrates the coming of autumn and the astounding mood change of the maple woods of Jakkoin Temple with a series of interesting events.

    From Meitetsu Nagoya Station, take the Meitetsu Inuyama Line bound for Inuyama and alight at Inuyama-Yuen Station. Walk 1.8km (25 min.) northeastwards via Route 185 by the margins of the Kiso River (Kisogawa) or take a taxi.

    •Approx. 20 min. northwestwards from Komakihigashi I.C. of the Chuo Expressway via routes 49, and 461 - head north by Route 49 then after 3.9km (5 min.) enter Route 461 by heading straight (heading for Route 41 and Owari Park Way at the point where Route 49 turns to the left). After this bifurcation, follow Route 461 for 7.6km (8 min.) then turn right for the last 1km uphill - or;
    •Approx. 30 min. northwards from either Komaki-kita Exit of the Nagoya Expressway R11 Komaki Route, or Komaki I.C. of the Meishin Expressway / Tomei Expressway via routes 41, 27, and 185.
