One of Japan's 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots

Come spring and the over 800 cherry trees in the area around Okazaki Castle bloom in all their glory. The evenings during the festival's period feature artificial illumination that lights up the flowery rows of trees, creating highly enjoyable and fantastic sights. Adding to the festive air of the place, there are also countless food and amusement stalls lining the banks of the Oto River. The flurry of falling cherry blossom petals is incredible, and the sight of Okazaki Castle together with the cherry blossoms is also a must-see.
