The Toyota Oiden Festival—Endless energetic dancing with one of the largest-scale fireworks displays in the entire Tokai region

The Toyota Oiden Festival is the city of Toyota's largest festival and places the spotlight on its citizens. Coworkers from work, neighbors, friends, and people from all walks of life come together and dance to the special "Oiden [Come on]" theme song during its Oiden Dance Festival.
Toyota is a large city, so even in each area, there are smaller versions, or My Town Oiden Dance Festivals, but on the final Saturday of July is the comprehensive "Sou-Odori" dance, in which a seemingly endless line of dance groups and people dance down the main strip of downtown Toyota to the east of Toyotashi Station. From children to seniors, the number of people is simply shocking. Lots of other events take place with food vendors there to satiate your thirst or rumbling stomach so you can jump back into the festivities all the sooner!
