A museum passing on Nagoya's history to its future

Nagoya City Museum is a history museum which opened in October 1977 as part of a project to commemorate the population of Nagoya City's breaking through the 2 million mark.
Created with the mission of collecting and preserving, as common property of the citizens, historical materials which characterize Nagoya, and passing them on to the citizens of the future, Nagoya City Museum has gathered together more than 270,000 artifacts with approximately 24,000 of them donated from citizens.
